Viewing & Session Context
Every surface — the web admin panel, the Student Web Portal, and the mobile apps — shows data for one academic year and semester at a time. A session switcher lets you change which year and semester you are viewing without changing your real enrolment: pick a different session year or semester and the dashboard, results, fees and timetables all re-scope to that context.
Switching the viewing context only changes what you see. It never moves a student between years or edits any data — it simply re-scopes the screens to the year/semester you selected.
On the web (admin panel & Student Web Portal)
In the web panel and the Student Web Portal, the session year and semester selectors sit in the top bar. Open either dropdown and choose a value; the page reloads its data for the new context.
In the mobile apps
In the parent/student app the switcher lives in Settings. Parents get a Session Year and Semester selector per child, so each child can be viewed in its own context; a student sets their own.
