Student Admission

The Student Admission page lets you enrol new students one at a time using a comprehensive form. Each admission creates a student account, links it to a guardian, assigns it to a class section, and stores any custom field data.

Admit a New Student

1
Navigate to Students → Student Admission
From the sidebar, expand **Students** and click **Student Admission**. The admission form opens with three sections: Student Details, Guardian Details, and Custom Fields.

2
Fill in student details
Complete the top section of the form: **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Date of Birth**, **Gender**, **Admission No** (unique — also the student login), **Admission Date**, **Class Section**, **Session Year**, and optionally Mobile, Current/Permanent Address, and a profile photo. The Admission No must be unique across the entire school.

3
Fill in guardian details
In the Guardian section, enter the **Guardian Email**, **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Mobile**, **Gender**, and optionally a photo. If you type an email that already exists, the system auto-fills the guardian info — no duplicate account is created.

4
Fill custom fields (if configured)
If your school has set up [Custom Fields](/docs/custom-fields), additional inputs appear at the bottom — these vary per school (e.g., Blood Group, Transport Route).

5
Click Submit
Click **Submit** to create the student record. A new student user account is created, the student is assigned to the selected class section, and the guardian account is created or linked.
About Admission No

The Admission No doubles as the student's login email. It must be unique across the entire school. A common pattern is to use the format STU-2025-001 or the registration number from your school records.

Existing Guardian?

Type the guardian's email in the Guardian Email field. If a guardian with that email already exists, their details are fetched automatically — you do not need to re-enter the name, mobile, or gender. This is how siblings get linked to the same parent account.
